Coaching Staff Head coach Pro Career: Brian Billick, who was named the second head coach in Baltimore Ravens history on January 19, 1999, has compiled a 52-35 record (.598) after his first five years as the Ravens’ head coach. Billick has led his team to the playoffs in three of his five seasons, including the Super Bowl XXXV title following the 2000 season. Baltimore defeated the New York giants, 34-7, in Super Bowl XXXV, highlighted by its record-setting defense. Prior to joining the Ravens, Billick coached for the Minnesota Vikings (1992-98), where as offensive coordinator in 1998, the Vikings’ offense scored an NFL record for most points in a season (556). In 2000, Billick’s defense surrendered only 165 points, the fewest allowed in a 16-game season and also became the first team since 1978 to allow fewer than 1,000 rushing yards (970) in a regular season.
